Waushara County Accident Report
The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office:
• 8/12/17: A one vehicle accident occurred at 2:13 a.m. on County Road E, Town of Leon. Casey Gough, 22, Menasha, was traveling southbound on County Road E after rounding a corner and traveling on a straight stretch she encountered a tree in the roadway that had fallen down into the road. Gough traveled over top of the tree coming to a rest on the other side. No injuries were reported.
• 8/16/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:52 p.m. on County Road TT, Town of Saxeville. Austin Kartz, 21, Wild Rose, was traveling westbound on County Road TT when he was negotiating a corner at E. Long Lake Road. Kartz’s vehicle slid on gravel on the side of the road and lost control. Kartz attempted to correct the slide but over corrected, crossed the centerline and ended up facing eastbound in a ditch. No injuries were reported.
• 8/18/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:54 a.m. in a parking lot, Town of Dakota. Janice Heitmann, 53, Berlin, turned right into a parking lot on Johnson Court from State Road 21 when lug bolts sheered the tire fell, which then fell off of the vehicle causing damage. No injuries were reported.
• 8/25/17: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:37 p.m. on State Road 73, Town of Oasis. Scott Slupecki, 30, Wautoma, was traveling northbound on State Road 73 after turning off of County Road P. Marissa Wildeck, 26, Minneonka, MN, was traveling southbound on State Road 73 slowing down to turn onto County Road P. Slupecki was checking his GPS on his cellphone in the center console and crossed the centerline. Wildeck continued to slow and observed Slupecki crossing into her lane and was unable to move out of the way. Slupecki struck Wildeck’s vehicle head-on completely in the opposite lane of travel. Two citations were issued. Suspected minor injuries were reported.
