Waushara County Accident Report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:

• 6/17/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:43 p.m. in a parking lot on Archer Lane, Town of Springwater. Ruben Soto, 68, Coloma, was at the gate but was unable to enter and other cars wanted to enter so the driver backed his vehicle up to get out of the way and struck the gate sensor post. No injuries were reported.
• 7/7/17: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 8 p.m. on Beechnut Avenue, Town of Mt. Morris. Matthew Abraham, 33, Neenah, was following to closely to Erin Paap, 33, Franksville, so when Paap slowed nearly to a stop it caused Abraham to run into the rear or the vehicle. Abraham advised that they were slowing for a non-related vehicle that was stopped due to a deer crossing the roadway. Abraham’s vehicle collided into the rear of Papp’s vehicle and both units then pulled to the side of the road. Two citations were issued. No injuries were reported.
• 7/8/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7 p.m. on Czech Lane, Town of Marion. Tara Sweet, 48, Fond du Lac, was traveling west on Czech Lane and attempted a U-turn in the road and got stuck in the south ditch facing south. Several pedestrians were attempting to push Sweet’s vehicle out of the ditch and was going in reverse to get unstuck. Dennis Huntington, 22, Milwaukee, a pedestrian, was pushing near the driver’s side mirror on the outside of the vehicle and when Sweet’s vehicle began to move in reverse, Huntington went underneath the left front tire and was run over. Sweet stopped as they were unstuck and transported Huntington to the hospital. Two citations were issued. Suspected serious injuries were reported.
• 7/11/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:21 a.m. on Aspen Road, Town of Springwater. Reed Eggum, 18, Pine River, was traveling eastbound on Aspen Road when he dropped a Bluetooth speaker in the vehicle near his leg. Eggum was searching for the speaker when his vehicle left the roadway, hit a tree stump and jumped the driveway. Eggum’s vehicle then struck a tree and turned coming to a rest about 20 yards from the roadway. Two citations were issued. No injuries were reported.
