Waushara County accident report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows12/5/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:35 p.m. on Highway 21, Town of Richford. David Faccio, 61, Montello, was traveling eastbound on Highway 21 when he encountered a pig in the roadway. Faccio struck the pig causing damage to the front of his vehicle as well as the passenger side. No injuries were reported. 

•1/8/16: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:57 p.m. on Saxeville Road, Town of Saxeville. Bryce Behn, 20, Weyauwega, was traveling westbound on Saxeville Road when he began negotiating a curve to approach a stop sign at the intersection of County Road E. Behn lost control and entered the right ditch line striking both the street sign and the stop sign before coming to a rest. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.

•1/8/16: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:23 p.m. on Badger Ave., Town of Wautoma. Kaitlyn La Chapelle, 16, Wisconsin Rapids, was traveling westbound on Badger Avenue when she began to negotiate a curve, lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centerline and entered the left ditch line striking a tree and coming to a rest. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.

•1/12/16: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:44 a.m. on County Road V, Town of Coloma. Jason Volkening, 37, Wisconsin Rapids, was plowing westbound on County Road V when he same to a stop sign at Highway 21 and County Road V and plowed the snow bank into the westbound shoulder area. Stephen Cowne, 35, Green Bay, was stopped at a stop sign on County Road V, and when Volkening started to back up he struck Cowne’s vehicle with the passenger side of the plow blade. Volkening stated he had not seen Cowne behind him and had to be following too close. Cowne stated he had been following Volkening and stopped at the stop sign and was unable to back out of the way due to road conditions. No injuries were reported.

•1/12/16: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:45 a.m. on 17th Drive, Town of Rose. Jason Guist, 41, Redgranite, was traveling southbound on 17th Drive and failed to stop for a stop sign at County Road P. He then continued at a high rate of speed southbound and struck a snowdrift on the roadway, lost control, and entered the east ditch where he became stuck in the snow-filled ditch. This happened all in front of a sheriff’s deputy and when the deputy activated his emergency lights and siren in the attempt to stop the vehicle the vehicle crashed into a ditch. Guist stated he did not see the deputy behind him nor did he see the Wautoma Police Chief behind him when traveling northbound on State Road 22. Both squads had emergency lights and sirens activated when in pursuit to stop the vehicle. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.

•1/12/16: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 9:55 a.m. on Highway 21, Town of Marion. Keith Miller, 33, Wisconsin Rapids, passed Darwin Trimble, 66, Sacramento, CA, on the left in the fourth lane highway when Miller stated that after passing Trimble he hit a patch of ice and his vehicle spun out of control. Miller then went across the median and then came back into the westbound lane and made contact with Trimble’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.
