Waushara County Accident Report
The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:
•11/12/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:45 p.m. on County Road D, Town of Poy Sippi. Chantze Pongratz, 20, Berlin, was traveling eastbound on County Road D when he lost control of the vehicle. Pongratz entered the north ditch traveled a few feet prior to striking a culvert. The vehicle overturned and came to a rest on its roof. Non-incapacitating injuries reported. One citation was issued.
•11/15/15: A two-vehicle occurred at 6:11 p.m. on County Road C, Town of Deerfield. Katlyn Kulack, 19, Hancock, was traveling westbound on County Road C and John Johnson, 52, Oshkosh, was traveling southbound on County Road B making a left turn onto County Road C from a stop sign. Johnson pulled into the intersection in front of Kulack and struck the back driver’s side wheel of her vehicle. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.
•11/17/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:56 a.m. on Chicago Road, Town of Dakota. Catalina Bender, 41, Wautoma, stated she was traveling westbound on Chicago Road and she began to push the brake and nothing was happening. The vehicle entered the north ditch crossed over to the south ditch overturning and landing on its wheels. Possible injuries were reported.
•11/17/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:32 p.m. on County Road F, town of Marion. Jeremy Deschler, 23, Wautoma, stated he swerved to miss a deer, and the vehicle left the roadway into the north ditch, traveled in the ditch, crossed Cree Road, and continued to travel in the ditch until flipping onto the roof. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported.
•11/18/15: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:16 p.m. on County Road C, Town of Hancock. Elaine Southward, 60, Wautoma, was stopped at a stop sign on County Road C at County Road V and failed to yield the right of way and entered the intersection. She then stopped upon seeing Michael Vesperman, 62, Hancock, traveling northbound on County Road V. She then attempted to proceed eastbound through the intersection again. Vesperman unsure of what Southward was doing and took evasive action and steered hard to the left but was unable to avoid collision with her vehicle. Southward said she stopped at the stop sign, then started to go, and stopped and thought Vesperman had enough room to get around her. Vesperman stated he was traveling northbound on County Road V and a vehicle pulled out from the stop sign and stopped in the road. He did all he could to avoid her as she started to go again, but struck Southward’s vehicle. Possible injuries were reported. One citation was issued.
•11/19/15: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 10:28 a.m. on County Road W, Town of Saxeville. Ronald Pietrowiak, 62, Waukesha, was traveling southbound and slowing to turn left into a driveway when Joseph Untereiner, 19, Wautoma, who was traveling southbound, passed Pietrowiak on the left causing a collision. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.
•11/20/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:40 a.m. in a parking lot, Town of Poy Sippi. Donna Lavold, 69, Waupaca, was traveling north on Highway 49 when she turned east onto Prospect and began a parking maneuver in a parking lot. While performing the parking maneuver the operator lost control of the vehicle and collided with the side of the building causing damage to the vehicle and building. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.
•11/20/15: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 5:52 p.m. on Highway 22, Town of Dakota. A third vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 22 and unexpectedly made a right turn from the travel lane instead of the turn lane. Aleia Hansen, 27, Redgranite, activated her breaks to avoid the collision and Leonard White, 26, Fond du Lac, ran into the back of her vehicle. No injuries were reported.
•11/23/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:32 p.m. on County Road V, Town of Hancock. Owen Devillers, 78, New Berlin, was traveling southbound on the off ramp of I-39 at County Road V when he failed to stop at a stop sign, crossed over County Road V and entered the south ditch. The vehicle overturned once and came to rest on its wheels. Devillers stated he tried to apply his brakes and said nothing happened. Possible injuries were reported.
