Waushara County Accident Report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:

10/21/15: A one-vehicle hit and run accident occurred on Highway 21, Town of Marion. The unit was turning westbound on Highway 21 and 22nd Avenue and struck a pole and sign in a small median on Highway 21 breaking a post and dragging it into the ditch. The vehicle continued from the scene. No debris was found at the scene from the vehicle.

•10/25/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:51 a.m. on Highway 73, Town of Oasis. Blaise Tubbs, 18, Nekoosa, was traveling southbound on Highway 73 when his left rear tire on his vehicle rapidly lost all air pressure causing him to enter the ditch on the west side of the roadway. Tubbs then struck a driveway embankment and became airborne. Tubbs then struck speed limit sign and post and a private mailbox coming to a rest on the west side of the road on the top of an embankment. Tubbs then drove the vehicle back down onto the roadway where it was found. No injuries were reported.

•10/28/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:30 p.m. on County Road A, Town of Saxeville. Shae Wheeler, 34, Appleton, failed to stop for the stop sign on County Road A at County Road E. Wheeler went airborne for a period of time after leaving the roadway and entered private property. Wheeler’s vehicle then struck a tree and then a pallet of retaining wall bricks on private property causing the entire driver’s side front wheel assembly to be ripped from the vehicle as well as the passenger side door skin to be thrown into some bushes near the pallet. Possible injuries were reported. Two citations were issued.

•10/29/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:18 p.m. on County Road E, Town of Warren. Marie Verburgt, 31, Wautoma, was traveling northbound on County Road E, when she said she was attempting to miss a deer and lost control of her vehicle, rolled over one time, and back on its wheels. Verburgt was then located getting into another vehicle north of the scene and brought back to the crash location. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.
