Waushara County accident report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:

•7/10/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:13 p.m. on Chicago Road, Town of Dakota. Joshua Holman, 27, Markesan, was traveling westbound on Chicago Road in excess of 75 mph. Homan attempted to negotiate the curve when he lost control and entered the south ditch. Holman attempted to correct and rolled the vehicle over onto its roof. He had strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person and he was transported for possible injuries. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported. Five citations were issued. 

•7/19/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:35 a.m. on Akron Drive, Town of Plainfield. Joshua Lockhart, 21, Wisconsin Rapids, was traveling west on Akron Drive when Lockhart lost control of the motorcycle. Lockhart turned on its left side sliding on the roadway. He was ejected off the bike when the bike overturned. Lockhart’s motorcycle came to a rest in the ditch next to a private drive. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported. Three citations were issued. 

•7/19/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:36 a.m. on County Road MM, Town of Wautoma. Payton Nix, 20, Wautoma, was traveling southbound on County Road MM when he stated that he swerved to miss a deer and entered the east ditch. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest against a tree. The vehicle struck a phone box and also several trees. Nix and the passenger were ejected from the vehicle and both sustained injuries from the crash. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported. 

•7/20/15: A three-vehicle accident occurred at 4:33 p.m. on Highway 21, Town of Dakota. Michael Stewart, 25, Algoma, was traveling eastbound on Highway 21 while looking for a place to pull over to go to the restroom. Stewart missed the driveway and was pulling into another driveway when Chad Meyer, 41, Wild Rose, slowed almost to stop, and Franklin Challoner, 46, Adams, struck Meyer in the rear end and pushed Meyer’s vehicle into Stewart’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

•7/20/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:16 p.m. on Apache Road, Town of Springwater. Tina Ayotte, 30, Montello, was traveling westbound when she stated she swerved to miss a deer, entered a ditch, and overturned. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported. 

•7/25/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:43 a.m. on Highway 49, Town of Aurora. Samantha Ostertag, 26, Redgranite, was traveling southbound on Highway 49 when she hit an unknown dark animal that ran out of the west ditch and across the road in front of her. After Ostertag’s vehicle came to rest it was determined that she had struck a horse. No injuries were reported. 

•7/25/15: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 9:23 a.m. on County Road A, Town of Saxeville. Shelley Maginnis, 63, Wild Rose, stated that she was turning right into a driveway when she looked to her side mirror and saw a motorcycle about ready to hit the rear of her car. Robert Winters, 74, Weyauwega, said he didn’t realize Maginnis was slowing and collided with the rear of Maginnis’s car. Incapacitating injuries were reported.
