Waushara County accident report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:

•6/12/15: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 12:26 p.m. on County Road P, Town of Rose. Dirk Van Doren, 56, Hobe Sound, FL, was traveling eastbound on County Road P when his vehicle struck a deer running in the road. The deer was thrown from impact into the westbound lane. The deer then crashed through the windshield of Michael Zahn’s, 55, Coloma, vehicle. Zahn veered to the right into the north ditch and struck two large pine trees. Van Doren continued eastbound and was not at the scene. Van Doren returned to the scene and stated he hit the deer but did not see it strike the van and called the Waupaca Sheriff’s Department when he arrived at his cottage. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported.

•6/16/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:56 a.m. on 4th Avenue, Town of Coloma. Ronald Giles, 79, Jefferson, was traveling northbound on 4th Avenue when he operated onto the shoulder, into a ditch, struck rock, culvert, and marker post at a driveway on 4th Avenue and then corrected back onto the road. The vehicle was disabled in crash. No injuries were reported.
