On Aug. 11 at approximately 10:25 p.m., The Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a one vehicle rollover crash with injuries at STH 82 and CTH Z, Town of Springville. The vehicle was occupied by a lone male subject, later identified as Michael Buddy Lee Carroll, 37 of Adams.
The investigation revealed Michael was southbound on CTH Z north of STH 82, and lost control of the vehicle approximately .25 miles north of STH 82. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lane as the driver lost control. As the vehicle continued southbound, the vehicle rolled over while on the roadway, and crossed over STH 82. The vehicle continued to roll down the embankment on the southside of STH 82, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
A passerby observed the debris field from the crash, located the crash scene, and contacted law enforcement. Upon law enforcement arrival, Carroll had life threatening injuries. A medical helicopter was requested and Carroll was transported to Madison by helicopter and later pronounced deceased.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Lifestar Ambulance, LifeLink Air Ambulance, and the Adams County Fire District.
The accident remains under investigation and no additional information is being released.
