Accidents reported in Waushara County

7/2/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:43 p.m. on IH39 northbound in the Town of Hancock. Ronald Nelson, 39, Amherst Junction, observed Maria Gee, 39, Plover, rapidly approaching behind him. Nelson began to move over past the white fog line and was struck in the rear by Gee. Gee stated she was not familiar with the area and had been looking at her GPS. She stated she was changing lanes when she struck Nelson. She apologized for the accident, stating she would pay for damages.

7/3/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:55 a.m. on CTHM eastbound in the Town of Saxeville. Shawen Jones, 36, Pine River, left the center line then ran off the roadway and rolled on an embankment. Jones rolled back on all four tires, struck a tree, and left the scene. Contact was made with Jones at his residence. Jones was injured and intoxicated and transported to ThedaCare Waupaca.

 

7/3/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2 p.m. on CTHE southbound in the Town of Saxeville. Sara Forrest, 37, Pine River, ran off the roadway left, struck a mailbox, and continued in the ditch line until coming to its final resting place. Forrest had fallen asleep.

6/23/2022: At 10:35 p.m., Michael Minkin, 35, Redgranite, on Buttercup Dr., Town of Leon.

6/29/2022: At 4:19 a.m., Deborah Evert, 66, Redgranite, on STH21, Eastbound, Town of Aurora.

6/29/2022: At 9:16 p.m., Kyle Thompson, 31, Waupaca, on STH22, Northbound, Town of Wautoma.
