09/21/2020: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:31 a.m. on CTHP westbound in the Town of Oasis. Thomas Bengel, 77, Wautoma, went onto the right shoulder and into the ditch. Bengel then overcorrected and swerved back onto the roadway on the north side and on the south side where it went off again. He then went off the roadway on the left. He was hauling a full load of potatoes. The load of potatoes was ejected from the produce bed. Bengel overturned on its driver side and came to a stop. Bengel stated he fell asleep and woke and jerked the steering wheel.
09/21/2020: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:46 p.m. on Washington Ave. in the Village of Lohrville. Joni Taylor, 20, Redgranite, stated she was traveling westbound on E Washington Ave. when a deer came into her lane of travel. She stated due to a bicyclist in the opposite lane she wasn’t able to go around the deer. Taylor swerved to miss striking the deer and entered the north side of the ditch.
