10/24/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 12:16 p.m. on 4th Ave in the Town of Coloma. According to both drivers Ryan Brown, 37, Lacrescent, MN, left the stop sign and pulled into the path of Robert Stevenson, 43, Wausau. The front of Stevenson made contact with the left front corner of Brown. Brown stated that he did not see Stevenson when he pulled away from the stop sign to turn eastbound on State Road 21. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene by the operators.
10/30/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:20 p.m. on Private Property in the Town of Leon. The resident of the property reported that a vehicle had struck the telephone box and tree in their yard in the Town of Leon. They stated that they heard the vehicle coming and then crash at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 31. When they looked outside there were already other vehicles on scene pulling the pickup truck from the ditch. According to the trail left by the vehicle, it appeared that the truck left the road near their driveway and then went across the yard. The truck ran over a telephone box #63189 then made contact with a large tree. The truck continued westbound in the ditch leaving marks in the ground. Vehicle and driver have not been identified.
11/4/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:40 a.m. on STH73 northbound in the Town of Oasis. Caleb Weasner, 19, Wild Rose, began to fall asleep behind the wheel. The vehicle crossed the centerline into the southbound lane. Weasner woke up and over corrected the vehicle. The over correction caused the driver lose control and leave the roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch, spun 180 degrees, flipped on to the driver’s side and came to rest facing south east bound. The driver was able to crawl out of the windshield and get to safety. The vehicle began smoking and was fully engulfed in flame upon deputy’s arrival. Fire was put out by the fire department and the vehicle was removed by tow truck.
11/4/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:20 p.m. on Warren St. in the Village of Redgranite. Douglas Osaorio Coca, 43, was eastbound on State Rd. 21/E. Bannerman Ave. and Leonard Nigbor, 76, Berlin, was traveling southbound on Warren St. Nigbor stopped at stop sign, then proceeded when he felt it safe, but collided with Osaorio Coca’s vehicle that left the roadway, and came to rest in ditch on the south side of the roadway. Osaorio Coca stated he was behind an unidentified vehicle when struck by Nigbor.
11/7/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 3:26 p.m. on 5th Ave in the Town of Plainfield. Shelly Laukant, 38, Hancock, was stopped at the stop sign on 5th Avenue at State Road 73. She left from the stop sign to go across the intersection, who then made contact with Ruben Anderson, 44, Holmen, who was westbound on State Road 73. Laukant stated that she saw Anderson but thought that she had enough time to get across the intersection. A witness stated that she was waiting at the stop sign for Anderson to go by. The witness then observed Laukant pull away from the stop sign and then make contact with Anderson.
11/10/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. on private property in the Town of Wautoma. Devon Deleon, 19, Wautoma, lost control of vehicle and crossed Brown Deer Road, made contact with a stop sign and other post, then made contact with some trees.
11/14/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:05 p.m. on STH22 northbound in the Town of Wautoma. Kyra Elm, 21, Redgranite, lost control and crossed the center line and entered the east ditch, rolling over. Star was processed for OWI and flown by medical helicopter based on her injuries.
