Accidents reported in Waushara County

9/20/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 3:48 p.m. on an intersection in the Town of Marion. Magdalena Ramos, 36, Wautoma, was southbound and Linda Beyer, 65, Neshkoro, was northbound and stopped at the stop sign. According to Ramos, Beyer pulled out in front of her and Beyer stated that she did not see Ramos when pulling out in to the intersection. Ramos made contact with Beyer on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver and passenger were evaluated by EMS and then transported to ThedaCare, Berlin.

9/23/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:55 a.m. on STH73 southbound in the Town of Marion. Craig Rieck, 62, Neshkoro, slowed to turn right on Czech Lane. Sara Schneider, 31, Neshkoro, crashed in to the rear of Rieck. Rieck crossed center line from impact and rolled into the left ditch. Schneider drove into the right ditch. Rieck claimed he signaled his turn. Schneider was indecisive in knowing if the driver had signaled or if the brake lights had been working. She spoke of sun glare possibly inhibiting her view.

9/25/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 11:47 a.m. on an intersection in the Village of Plainfield. Zachary Falish, 28, Green Bay, slowed to stop for emergency vehicle and was rear ended by Ryan York, 19, Coloma.

9/25/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:07 p.m. on Springwater Dr. in the Town of Springwater. James Wasilewski, 67, Hartford, was on a motorcycle stopped at stop sign. He placed his left foot down on pavement and his foot slid on sand/gravel on uneven pavement. The motorcycle overturned onto side. Wasilewski sustained injury to left leg/ankle. Scratches to left side of motorcycle. Motorcycle was up-righted prior to deputy arrival.

9/25/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:24 p.m. on IH39 southbound in the Town of Plainfield. Nick Orellana, 25, Lake in the Hill, IL, was driving southbound on IH39 by Archer Ave when the engine compartment caught on fire.

9/26/2021: A two-vehicle accident on 350 Main St./STH22 southbound in the Village of Wild Rose. Martha Szczublewski, 60, Wautoma, pulled into parallel park, backed up and struck a legally parked vehicle in driver side fender. She then pulled forward and parked, then backed up again striking the vehicle in front bumper license plate bracket. She then drove forward accelerating and striking and knocking down a support post for the deck at the Wild Rose Hotel/Duck Blind. She fled the scene and was witnessed at Benny’s Market by a citizen from Blader’s Inn that followed the Cadillac and took photographs of female operator, vehicle, and damage and license plate. She was no longer at the market when the deputy arrived. She was found at her residence, and subsequently arrested for operating while under the influence of intoxicants.

9/23/2021: At 4:55 a.m., Robert Eggers, 52, Wild Rose, on 20th Ave, Town of Springwater.
