8/5/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:10 a.m. on 24th Rd. in the Town of Mount Morris. Jason Howell, 46, Rothschild, operated left of center in a stolen Jeep Wrangler. He then over-corrected to the right, yawed out of control into east flat ditch, spun 180 degrees on grass, continued north struck trees with rear of vehicle then fled the scene northbound on 24th Road. Jeep was reported stolen approximately 6:05 hours, crash soon thereafter, as vehicle was located at 7:15 hours to the west of the crash on 22nd Lane, just south of Brown Deer Ave., with extensive damage. Witness where Jeep was located stated he saw Jeep backing on Brown Deer Avenue at approximately 6:15 hours when he was enroute to work. The driver was located near disabled Jeep and later admitted to the theft of Jeep and crashing Jeep. Parts at the crash scene matched the stolen vehicle.
8/7/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:22 p.m. on STH21 eastbound in the Town of Dakota. Laura Keopl, 45, Wautoma, stated she entered high water that was covering her lane of travel. She slowed down attempting to move over, but due to the high water she was pulled into the ditch where her vehicle became partially immersed.
