7/27/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:33 p.m. on Beechnut Ave. in the Town of Mount Morris. Annie Jansen, 34, Wild Rose, said that she swerved to miss a deer and went off the roadway. The deputy observed that Jansen ran off the roadway where it came to rest after striking brush and trees.
7/28/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 1 p.m. on Chicago Dr. in the Town of Warren. Laverne Guse, 56, Redgranite, was parked at the stop sign on Chicago Drive while Joseph Alberti, 77, Wautoma, was negotiating to turn left onto Chicago Drive. Alberti struck the front of Guse causing minor damage to both units front ends as it was traveling at a slow rate of speed. Both units were removed by the owners.
7/28/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 5:51 p.m. on private property in the Village of Hancock. Unit 2 was legally parked in the driveway. Laurie Lipke, 61, Hancock, was backing down the driveway that is shared conjoined with the other driveway. Lipke backed into the parked vehicle. Lipke came to rest against Unit 2. Lipke admitted to being on the cell phone distracted while backing.
7/28/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:51 p.m. o CTHXX northbound in the Town of Poy Sippi. Ruben Vela, 52, Berlin, struck a mailbox and proceeded through intersection and across CTHXX. The vehicle entered the west ditch. After an investigation, the driver was found to be impaired. OAR/OWI related, no ID installed in vehicle. Vela also received charges for DC and obstructing. Crash occurred in severe thunderstorm.
7/29/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 1:58 p.m. on CTHW northbound in the Town of Springwater. Charles Goggans, 56, Waupaca, was negotiating a curve when he encountered sand in the roadway which caused him to begin to lose control of his motorcycle. He was unsure if he pulled the clutch or the accelerator and went into the ditch causing him to lay the bike down and strike the ditch/embankment.
