Accidents reported in Waushara County

6/18/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 4:49 p.m. on CTHE northbound in the Town of Leon. Scott Sesolak, 25, Hartland, told the deputy he and his girlfriend were traveling to Hills Lake to stay in a cabin for the weekend. He was supposed to turn westbound on County Road H and missed the turn. He stated he pulled over in order to make a U turn. In the process of making the U turn he did not see Elizabeth Sonnentag, 20, Pine River, behind him. Sonnentag stated she thought Sesolak was going to park when he pulled over. Sonnentag stated she was traveling about 10 MPH at the time of collision. There were no injuries.

6/26/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:28 p.m. on STH22 southbound in the Town of Dakota. Emalee Lipke, 30, Waupaca, crossed over the bridge near the intersection of Cottonville Dr. She stated she was clearing the bridge and struck a pot hole that was in the southbound lane of travel with her front passenger side tire. When this occurred warning lights illuminated on the dash and the car was disabled. Deputy located the pot hole and it appeared to be a result of being washed out due to weather conditions.

6/28/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:31 p.m. on MM 124 IH39 northbound in the Town of Coloma. Kyle Thompson, 38, Springfield, was northbound on the Interstate when he struck a tire in the road.

7/2/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 11:27 p.m. on Main St./STH49 southbound in the Town of Poy Sippi. Ulises Garcia Sevilla, 22, Poy Sippi, was backing up into a parking stall just off of HWY 49 in front of the Bluff Bar and Grille as it was facing southbound. Deputy was traveling southbound in a marked squad when observing Sevilla strike parked Unit 2, causing it to visibly move. Deputy hear loud crashing noise when this occurred. Deputy initiated light and siren and observed Sevilla proceed to pull out of stall and drive south on IH 39 from the scene of the crash. Deputy observed minor damage to the back bumper of Sevilla and minor damage to front of unit 2. Sevilla continued driving until it came to rest in a driveway.
