Accidents reported in Waushara County

4/17/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:50 p.m. on Maple Ave. in the Village of Wild Rose. Deputy had responded to a property damage accident calling in by witness. Deputy found that the vehicle had fled from the scene but it was later located. Upon investigation it was found that Evelyn Bolin, 59, Wild Rose, had failed to stop at a stop sign and proceeded into the yard where it struck a house number and trailer. Bolin failed to maintain control of the vehicle. She spoke with the deputy and advised that she did not remember crashing or how she got home.

 

4/18/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred in a parking lot in the Town of Dakota. Pamela Lopes, 67, Wautoma, stated she was attempting to exit the parking lot and noticed a parked vehicle to far over. Lopes stated she was unaware she had struck the other vehicle until later when she was made aware of others that were on the scene. Lopes returned to the scene shortly after. The owner of the parked vehicle was spoken to and had informed that he did not see the accident take place, but was informed by others in the parking lot on what had occurred.

4/19/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:04 p.m. on STH73 northbound in the Town of Marion. Connor Ruppert, 18, Waupun, was traveling northbound on a motorcycle and failed to negotiate a curve, operated on the shoulder, overturned into northbound ditch, and was ejected from the motorcycle. He stated he could not steer and the motorcycle made a strange noise after leaving the gas station in Neshkoro. He stated he got the bike about a week ago and was traveling approximately 60 MPH. The accident was witnessed by his brother who was traveling northbound ahead of him in a van.

4/23/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred on CTHF westbound in the Town of Warren. Neal Stroh, 68, Brandon, and David Oelke, 81, Fond Du Lac, were driving westbound with Stroh being in the lead vehicle. Stroh slowed to turn left on 25th Dr., and he believed they had signaled a left turn. Oelke did not believe Stroh had signaled any turn. Oelke thought Stroh would turn right on CTH EE and began overtaking Stroh on the left. Stroh conducted the left turn and the vehicle collided at an angle on the left. Oelke was cited for passing in a no passing zone.

4/24/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 12:05 p.m. on STH49 southbound in the Town of Aurora. Erin Heidemann, 33, Cottage Grove, MN, was slowing down to turn into a driveway and a small silver car, possibly a VW rear ended her vehicle and kept driving. Photos were taken of the damage.

4/25/2021: At 7:59 p.m., Niles Shilts, 32, Nekoosa, on the intersection of CTHA, Westbound, Town of Saxeville.
