Accidents reported in Waushara County

3/29/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:40 p.m. on STH49 southbound in the Town of Bloomfield. Susan Miller, 22, Tomah, was negotiating a curve approaching N CTY A Intersection. Miller failed to negotiate the curve and had crossed the center line, over corrected, crossed back over the centerline, over corrected, crossed the center line again, lost control spinning out on the dry roadway, rolled over completely, and struck a tree coming to rest facing northbound on its wheels. Minor injuries were observed at the scene believed to be from the seat belt. Witness observed Miller swerving prior to loosing complete control.

3/31/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 9:45 a.m. on STH73 southbound in the Town of Wautoma. Anna Roberts, 55, Wausau, was southbound while James Schmeisser, 69, Lake Mills, was northbound. Roberts crossed centerline, collided with Schmeisser’s semi-trailer impact to axles of Schmeisser’s trailer. Roberts came to a stop facing southbound in the northbound lane. Schmeisser stated that Roberts crossed centerline and he swerved to the right to avoid the collision.

4/3/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:14 p.m. on 20th Drive in the Town of Marion. Colin Buschke, 30, Wautoma, was fleeing from State Patrol and had previously struck a mailbox. He attempted to turn east onto 20th Drive but was unable to maneuver the turn. No skid or stopping marks observed. Buschke struck Scott Schultz, 60, Appleton, causing minor injuries to both occupants. Buschke was taken into custody by State Patrol for OWI and fleeing State Patrol issued all citation and criminal referral to DA.

4/4/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:40 p.m. on STH49 northbound in the Town of Poy Sippi. Victoria Krueger, 20, Berlin, stated she was traveling approximately 65 MPH when she began to look for a water bottle inside of the vehicle. She looked down for a couple seconds and when she looked up Douglas Lee, 59, Pine River was stopped in front of her making a left turn. Krueger swerved to miss Lee but was unable to avoid collision. Krueger’s front left impacted Lee’s rear right. Krueger admitted she was not wearing a seat belt. Consequently, Krueger’s side  mirror, during accident, broke off and hit her. She sustained very minor cuts and did not want medical attention. She was issued a citation for inattentive driving. Lee stated he was stopped on State Road 49 at Bighorn waiting for oncoming traffic before he made a left turn. Lee stated he saw Krueger coming and then was hit.

4/4/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:30 p.m. on CTHEE northbound in the Town of Leon. Alison Zimmerman, 23, Oshkosh, negotiates curve unsuccessfully and rides into east should. Gravel/sand shoulder causes bike to low side. Zimmerman slid across ground wearing protective gear. She had minor road rash and cuts to head and arms. She denied medical transport and stated she would see her doctor in Oshkosh.

3/25/2021: At 10:30 p.m., Vang Moua, 23, Sheboygan, on CTHV, Northbound, Town of Hancock.

3/27/2021: At 6:09 a.m., Amber Rudolph, 36, Berlin, on CTHF, Eastbound, Town of Marion.

4/4/2021: At 2:49 p.m., James Wedell, 24, Ripon, on CTHEE, Southbound, Town of Warren.
