Accidents reported in Waushara County

2/4/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:55 p.m. on IH39 northbound in the Town of Hancock. Tambrea Stache, 50, Chilton, was traveling on Interstate 39 when the semi hit and lost control due to icy road conditions. Stache spun in the northbound lanes and jackknifed causing damage to the tractor and trailer. Stache was able to drive away to a safe location and await law enforcement.

 

2/5/2021: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 1:33 a.m. on STH21 eastbound in the Town of Wautoma. Jason Anderson, 43, Wild Rose was driving a county snowplow truck traveling westbound on Hwy 21. Anthony Douglas, 33, Oshkosh, was traveling eastbound and lost control on the icy roads and struck one of the rear tires of the plow truck. Anderson was able to move over enough so that Douglas did not strike the plow. Douglas came to rest in the eastbound lane, partially in the roadway.

2/7/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 1:13 a.m. on Wautoma Rd./STH21 westbound in the Town of Coloma. A deputy responded to a complaint of a vehicle slide off. Upon arrival deputy observed vehicle in the eastbound side ditch. Deputy spoke with Andrew Chamberlin, 21, Westfield, and said what occurred. He initially stated while traveling back to his residence he lost control of his vehicle. Driver later stated he possibly went into the ditch due to being tired.

2/8/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:55 p.m. on Carey Ave in the Village of Wild Rose. Evan Tamczyk, 17, Wild Rose, advised he was accelerating and drove into the ditch where he struck a no parking sign. Deputy observed vehicle turned east off of Summit St. and was accelerating when they lost control entering the ditch and striking the sign.

2/8/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:05 p.m. on STH73 southbound in the Town of Wautoma. Deputy responded to single vehicle rollover accident and found that the vehicle was traveling southbound when it lost control while negotiating a left curve. The vehicle entered the northbound ditch where it rolled onto its side. Brianna Reilly, 19, Fond Du Lac, was identified verbally. Both passengers were stuck inside of the vehicle and required assistance from the fire department to get out. Reilly advised that she lost control on a patch of ice on the roadway.

2/10/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10 p.m. on CTHP eastbound in the Town of Rose. Jacob Kenney, 32, Wild Rose, stated he was going approximately 40 MPH and road conditions were poor with hard packed snow and ice causing road to be very slippery. Kenney lost control of vehicle and could not regain control. The vehicle spun out and went into south side ditch then rolled. Kenney exited vehicle and was picked up by a passerby. Kenney left scene and did not contact law enforcement. Passerby contacted law enforcement.

2/12/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:57 a.m. on CTHJJ northbound in the Town of Richford. Richard Bohn, 72, Wautoma, lost control on partially covered ice/snow packed toad, entered east ditch, and struck a three strand barbed wire fence. The vehicle was stuck in snow. Bohn stated a gust of wind blew snow over windshield and he could not see.

2/12/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:47 p.m. on 6th Ave in the Town of Plainfield. Worthington Blum, 50, Plainfield, struck a patch of snow near a snowmobile crossing and slid into a ditch. The vehicle rocked onto side, damaging the entire driver’s side. Vehicle landed on all four tires and was removed by Blum. Blum was taken by private vehicle to the hospital for possible injury.

 

2/13/2021: A one-vehicle accident occurred on private property in the Town of Marion. Oscar Rodriquez, 38, Wautoma, turned onto Bannerman snowmobile trail and is unable to stay on trail causing him to slide into the ditch, striking a tree. Rodriquez walked down trail to flag down home residents. Rodriquez was impaired and would not tell where the vehicle was or what happed. Multiple open intoxicants located in the vehicle.
