12/04/2020: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:38 p.m. on Main St. southbound in the Village of Plainfield. Amanda Retzleff, 30, Weyauwega, observed Judy Young, 76, Plainfield, out into traffic and slowed to avoid collision. Young was backing and then struck Retzleff in its front passenger side door and front quarter panel. Young’s vehicle sustained minor damage to its bumper. Both vehicles were removed by operators.
12/05/2020: A one-vehicle accident occurred on East South Lake St., in the Village of Hancock. An unknown vehicle struck a stop sign on the opposite side of the road traveling east from South Main Street or West Moors Rd. on East South Lake Street. Partial WI license plate and vehicle parts at the scene. Vehicle mold numbers only come back on a google search on a west end side step, unknown vehicle make or model. Fluid trail from the scene east on County Road FF, followed to State Road 21 east, and unknown where vehicle went from there.
12/05/2020: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:19 p.m. on East North Lake St., in the Village of Hancock. Johnathan Stromblad, 22, Rib Lake, was driving an SUV with a utility trailer in tow. The utility trailer with a load of refuse, came unhitched from the SUV, and careened to the right off of the road and struck a garage. A witness stated that two males got out of the SUV, pulled the trailer from the damaged garage, picked up most of the garbage, and went to the dump. The witness took down the plate number. Another witness was at the dump and took photographs of the two males, SUV, and trailer when he was called by another witness who filmed the suspects on his cell phone returning to the street. Deputy Weasner received the photographs and video via email. Deputy attempted contact with the registered owner and left a message at the residence. On Dec. 6, in-person contact was made with registered owner who provided the names of the driver and passenger involved with the crash in his vehicle and mother’s trailer. Deputy contacted driver by phone and he admitted to being in the crash and has liability insurance.
