8/2/2023: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 5:56 a.m. on IH39 southbound in the Town of Plainfield. Christopher Kotolski, 36, Plainfield, and Michael Leahy, 43, Plover, were southbound when a dog from a stalled vehicle went into the roadway. Two vehicles slowed down rapidly in front of Kotolski. Leahy made contact with the rear of Kotolski. Kotolski turned 180 degrees and came to rest in the west ditch. Leahy came to rest in the median.
8/2/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. in a parking lot in the Town of Poy Sippi. Michael Boettcher, 48, Fremont, cut the corner short and struck guard rail with attached trailer.
8/3/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:34 a.m. on 5th Ave in the Town of Plainfield. Robert Patrykus, 61, Plainfield, was traveling northbound when a tree branch fell into the windshield area of the vehicle while traveling on the roadway.
8/4/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:16 p.m. on STH49 southbound in the Town of Bloomfield. Lester Price, 83, Pine River, over corrected left, crossing centerline and into northbound lane and over corrected right back left and over the center line and into the northbound lane of travel. Price then left roadway to left and into a ditch and corn field and drove for some distance and then struck tree and field stone pile.
8/5/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11 a.m. on 21st Ln in the Town of Mount Morris. David Tiede, 47, New Berlin, hit shoulder of roadway right and entered the ditch. Tiede cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle.
8/7/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on 9th Ave in the Town of Deerfield. Rodney Houk, 66, Hancock, swerved to avoid collision with unknown vehicle that was not on scene. Houk left roadway and struck a downed tree.
8/7/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:57 p.m. on CTHA eastbound in the Town of Springwater. Lexie Leonhard, 32, Zumbrota, MN, went into the gravel in the ditch and then lost control and then went into the ditch and trees in the ditch, eventually coming to rest on a tree. Vehicle sustained damage to the rear bumper and undercarriage area with minor damage to other areas.
8/8/2023: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:13 a.m. on an intersection in the Town of Leon. Korrina Smith, 20, Redgranite, was eastbound on Beaver Lane and Travis Minard, 29, Redgranite, was northbound on 26th Lane. Smith went through the stop sign into the path of Minard. The vehicles made contact in the intersection. Smith turned 180 degrees and came to rest in the roadway. Minard continued northbound and came to rest on the west shoulder in the trees.
