Accidents reported in Waushara County

4/27/2023: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:19 p.m. on CTHE northbound in the Town of Saxeville. Shirley Hoepner, 47, Waupaca, failed to negotiate slight curve in the roadway and ran off roadway on the right. Hoepner went down steep embankment into ditch. Vehicle then came to rest after striking tree with the front end of the vehicle. 4/28/2023: A two-vehicle accident was reported at 1:30 p.m. on CTHQ eastbound in the Town of Warren. Doreen Stadler, 71, Redgranite, was eastbound on Cty Rd Q when she encountered Jeffery Auck, 57, Redgranite, who was parked in the eastbound lane assisting another motorist who had lost a partial load of hay. Stadler then struck Auck in the back end. 4/29/2023: A two-vehicle accident was reported at 3:21 p.m. at an intersection in the Town of Hancock. Kenneth Simon, 21, Stevens Point, stopped at the intersection of County Road C and County Road V. Piper Christopher, 20, Friendship, was traveling southbound on County Road V. Simon looked but did not see Christopher. Simon pulled into the intersection to turn northbound on County Road V. Christopher struck Simon as it pulled out attempting to turn. Simon pulled to north east ditch and came to rest. Christopher came to rest in south east ditch of County Road V after striking a Union telephone box. 5/7/2023: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 3 p.m. on 24th Ave in the Town of Mount Morris. Michael Fahser, 40, Fremont, and Joshua Kent, 40, Hortonville, were riding as a group. Kent pulled off of County Road H and slowed/stopped. Fahser pulled onto 24th Ave and struck Kent at slow speeds. 5/12/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 1:25 p.m. on CTHE southbound in the Town of Warren. Zoie Draheim, 16, Redgranite, crossed center lane and over correcting, causing the vehicle to lose control and enter southbound ditch passenger side first, then causing the vehicle to roll several times before coming to rest on wheels. Draheim was able to self exit the vehicle and was treated by EMS and transported to the hospital. 5/15/2023: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:51 a.m. at an intersection in the Town of Aurora. Donald Groskreutz, 78, Berlin, was traveling on State Road 21 approaching the stop sign at State Road 49. Groskreutz advised his foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator. Groskreutz struck Bryce Bastar, 24, Manawa, in the rear passenger side of the trailer he was hauling. Deer accidents: 5/10/2023: At 8:58 p.m., Laurie Russell, 69, West Lafayette, IN, on CTHC, Westbound, Town of Deerfield.
