10/30/2020: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 4:05 p.m. on CTHZ southbound in the Town of Marion. Kelly School, 34, Portage, stopped at a southbound stop sign on County Rod Z and stated she looked both ways know it was a poor visibility intersection. School proceeded south through the intersection. Approximately half way through the intersection is when Andrew Franklin, 19, Wautoma came around the corner. School’s passenger front strikes Franklin drivers middle. Both vehicles were able to move off roadway under their own power. Franklin stated School was on her cellphone, which she admitted to, but cell phone was hands free as her vehicle is a manual transmission. No citations issued.
11/03/2020: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. on CTHF eastbound in the Town of Marion. Alyssa Borchardt, 20, Wautoma, and Melissa Rogers, 42, Berlin, were both traveling eastbound on County Road F. Borchardt slowed to turn on Jannette Circle, which Rogers did not see and rear ended Borchardt. Rogers took full responsibility and said she was following to close.
11/04/2020: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:26 p.m. on South Ramp IH39 in the Town of Plainfield. Linda Ernst, 53, Plainfield was exiting the ram off of IH39 and stopped at a stop sign to turn northbound on State Road 73. Ashly Canapa, 20, Stevens Point, exited the ramp and was distracted by a cell phone looking at travel directions. Canapa stated that she thought Ernst had proceeded through the stop sign. Canapa’s front struck the rear of Ernst. Both vehicles came to rest in position.
11/05/2020: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:41 p.m. on Buttercup Ave in the Town of Wautoma. Deputy Brandon Rasmussen responded to a one vehicle rollover injury accident. Upon arrival Joseph Kasubaski, 31, Wautoma, vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Kasubaski stated he was traveling 45-50 MPH. Citation for too fast for conditions was mailed to defendant.
11/06/2020: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 1:45 p.m. on 121 W North St/STH73 southbound in the Village of Plainfield. Rodger Baggs, 83, Hancock, was pulling into traffic from parallel parking stall and collided with the side of David Holz, 51, Eureka. Baggs stated that he did not see Holz and hit him when he pulled out of his spot. Holz stated he did not see Baggs, just heard and felt contact between the vehicle as he was driving a heavy truck.
