Spiketown-Reign goes undefeated at Badger Region Championship

On March 23rd and 24th, Spiketown-Reign 16u, a local club volleyball team, participated in the year-end Badger Region Championships in Milwaukee. It was the 20thth year of the Badger Region Championship and the eighthth year that REIGN has participated. Competing against teams from the Milwaukee area, Madison and around the state they went a perfect 10-0, winning all five matches and taking home the Gold Bracket Championship. It is an amazing accomplishment for these eight young ladies from Wild Rose, Almond, and Westfield. Playing three matches on Saturday, they swept Germantown, Madison, and Milton to earn the #2 seed for the playoffs. On Sunday they defeated Glendale in the Semi-Finals 25-19, 25-19 to set up a Championship match against I AM Volleyball club from Grafton. The Championship Match was won 25-17, 25-20 to secure the first Badger Region Championship in REIGN history. Spiketown-Reign is a 501c3 non-profit volleyball club located in Wautoma. Teams are formed for girls aged 10-18 from the surrounding area. Tryouts begin in October and tournaments begin in January through March.
