Wautoma Hornets take down Lodi Blue Devils in WIAA Regional 3-1

During an Oct. 16 Wautoma Hornets hosted a playoff game against the Lodi Blue Devils. Both teams were determined to win. As usual The Wautoma Hornets were all smiles the entire game and worked hard to overcome any shortcomings they faced. In game 1, Wautoma started out with a victory of 25-15 to the visiting team, Hornets continued this momentum and took game 2 as well with, 25-17, Lodi was gaining on Wautoma.
The Blue Devils were feeling the heat and dominated in game 3. Brianna Kurt, of Lodi, served 6 times in a row, giving her team an edge as the match continued, and they took the lead with 25-16. Lodi and Wautoma stayed close in score throughout game 4, but Wautoma regained their spot and won the last match 25-18.
With an overall Wautoma win of 3-1, the Hornets were on their way to West Salem High School for the second round of Regional Playoffs on Oct. 19, where they lost 0-3. Wautoma ended the season with an overall success of 24-7.
