The Wautoma Hornets swarmed in for a 73-35 conference win over the Westfield Pioneers on Jan. 25 at Westfield High School.
Behind a 35-point performance Wautoma senior Joe Ascher broke the All Time Leading Scorer school record with 1516+ points. The record was previously held by his brother Gabe Ascher.
Carson Armstrong was able to add 15 points to the win. Landon Kalata and Taylor Krueger each scored 6, Landon Keller and Peter Idsvoog each with 4, and Logan Dunn with 3.
Westfield top scorers included Sam Berruecos and Austin Lyon who put up 10 points each. Owen Hendee scored 7 points, Keegan Hockerman 5 points, Isaiah Anason 2 and Scott McCoy 1.
