Tri-County fourth graders complete Classroom Agriculture Essays

The Tri-County fourth grade classes entered essays and poems into the Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom Agriculture Essay.  This year’s theme was “What’s Popping in Wisconsin? The value of corn to our economy!”  Ava Beggs from Mrs. Schmick’s class placed third, and from Mrs. Rettler’s class Hallie Lucht placed second, and Carsten Roby placed first.  Each of these students received a certificate and a Culver’s gift card.  Waushara County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom Coordinator and board member, Lynn Leahy, and her husband and President of the Waushara County Farm Bureau, Mike Leahy, presented the three winners with the certificates and gift cards, as well as played Wisconsin agriculture trivia with both fourth grade classes.
