Subhead
Tri-County Schools held their annual 6th-12th grade art show on May 10.  Students and staff were able to vote on the beautiful work created by students.  Middle School work, grades 6-8, had two categories- 2D and 3D- that their work was judged in.  High School work was divided into 11 categories.  First, second, and third place receive awards and the first place high school award winners get an additional monetary prize from our mug fundraiser.  Great job to everyone who made it into the show. The Tri-County Penguins are amazing artists.  Their teacher, Jen Montgomery, is very proud of their talent and effort this year in art. 6th Grade 2D Art: 1st- Madison Luna- Alligator Scratch Art, 2nd- Zoey Baughman- Butterfly Scratch Art, and 3rd- Jackie Castillo- Cave guy painting, purple background 3D Art: 1st- Madison Luna - Burger Clay Sculpture, 2nd- Parker Thoren- Mushroom lidded clay bowl, and 3rd Zoey Baughman- Watermelon Clay Bowl 7th Grade 2D: 1st- Maria Landeros- Butterfly Scratch Art, 2nd- Jordy Perez- Dead pool colored pencil, and 3rd- Mackenzie Smith- Sabertooth Prehistoric drawing 3D: 1st- Addyson Rettler- Ceramic Honey Pot, 2nd- MacKenzie Smith- Ceramic Dragon Head, and 3rd- Nanaleena Jelinski- Ceramic Peapod 8th Grade 2D: 1st- Maria Landeros- Virgin Mary Acrylic Painting, 2nd- Yuli Banda- Face Acrylic Splatter Painting, and 3rd- Maria Landeros- Eye Acrylic Splatter Painting 3D: 1st- Maria Landeros - Butterfly Mosaic, 2nd Olivia Meddaugh - Clay bowl series of 3, and 3rd Nadia Schoenstene- Flower Mosaic High School Photography: 1st- Alexa Raatz - Sunset with wave, 2nd- Avril Lewallen- Sunset, and 3rd- Sunset with dock and boats Ceramics: 1st- Fatima Paredes-Landeros- Honey Pot, 2nd- Geraldine Perez- Animals, and 3rd- Giselle Loa- Coryn Doll. 3D Small Project:1st- Caitlin Stainbrook- Wood burn and colored pencil flower box, 2nd- Fatima Paredes-Landeros - Wood burn and colored pencil Castle, and 3rd- Fatima Paredes-Landeros - Ceramic Strawberry dish 3D Large Project: 1st- Tamara Fischer- Cross Glass Mosaic, 2nd- Jasmine Vega- Hello Kitty Painted Chair, and 3rd- Ruby Urban- Pink swirl Painted Chair Fired Up Class: 1st- Vanessa Garcia- Frog Pond Clay and melted glass, 2nd- Hannah Garcia- Metal cut out with a jewelers saw G, and 3rd- Tamara Fischer- clay and glass melted pool, avocado and pond 2D Small Project, Section 1: 1st- Jasmine Vega- Cat Etching, 2nd- Jasmine Vega- Eye Drawing, and 3rd- Jasmine Vega- Tree Acrylic Painting.
