The 100 students at Coloma Elementary School in Mr. Zoellner’s PE classes recently participated in the Kids Heart Challenge program to raise money for the American Heart Association.  CES collected $7,078 during March to benefit young people with heart ailments.  The dollar amount was the highest amount ever collected by CES and $5,000 more than the previous highest amount.

K-6 students participated in jumping and basketball activities during PE class to end the donation campaign. Ms. Soper’s first grade class of ten students collected the highest amount of money and earned a Subway-sponsored lunch.  Mr. Toutant’s sixth grade class earned the highest amount of heart points (earned from jump rope and basketball scores) and will have the opportunity to duct tape Mr. Zoellner to the cafeteria wall.

Coloma Elementary appreciates all community members who donated to this incredible program.
