Robert Paul “Bob” Gauger, age 85 of Redgranite, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, January 17, 2024 at Juliette Manor in Berlin following a brief illness.
Bob had been employed for 40 years at American Motors Corp. in Milwaukee and Kenosha as a welder until his retirement in 1996. The Gaugers have lived in Redgranite since 1991. In addition to his wife, Judy, Bob is survived by a son, Bob Gauger (Margaret Willis) of Pearl Lake (Redgranite); 2 daughters, Cheryl (Rob) Novotny of Omro and Lisa (Wes) Fleenor of Wind Lake, WI.
Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Robert (Mariah) and Ryan (Samii) Gauger, and Emily Fleenor; and 2 great-grandchildren, Gwen and Aria Gauger; other relatives, and many friends.
Bob was preceded in death by a son John in 1988 and his parents, Julius and Dorothy Gauger.
His family was most important to Bob. He was also very actively involved in restoring and showing classic cars. He was a member of Brewtown Crusers of Milwaukee and United Auto Workers Union, Local 72 of Milwaukee.
Memorial Services and a Celebration of Bob’s life will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 (the day after Bob’s birthday), from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Redgranite Lions Club Hall located at 145 Dearborn Street (behind the Redgranite Public Library). The Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Robert Precourt Officiating with a time of Visitation, Fellowship, and Food to follow.
