Congratulations to the Lady Pioneer Softball Team with their All-Conference Selections in the South Central Conference. Carly Drew as a catcher and Brandi Lentz as an infielder were both 1st Team All-Conference Unanimous Selection in the SCC and were Honorable Mention on the All-District Team. Trista Drew, as a pitcher and Nadia Hoffa, as an outfielder were both 1st Team All-Conference Unanimous Selections. Kim Sengbusch was named to the 2nd Team All-Conference as an infielder. Congratulations ladies.
Boys Baseball Team had many All-Conference Selections from this Spring. Cole Barton as an infielder and Mitchell Meinke as an outfield were both 1st Team All-Conference in the SCC and were also selected to the 2nd Team All-District Team. Cole Barton also received 2nd team honors as a pitcher along with Tommy Huff making 2nd Team All-Conference as an outfielder. Congratulations boys.
The Westfield/Montello Track Team also did very well at their Conference Meet in May. Taking 1st place and being recognized on the 1st Team All-Conference Girls Team was Haddie Showen in the 1600M and 3200M Run; The 4X100 Relay Team consisting of Kaylie Winger, Natalie Frank, Kayla Tassler, and Sidney Hoffa; 4X200 Relay Team of Kayla Tassler, Katie Alcorta, Holly Goodwin, and Sidney Hoffa; and the 4 X800 Relay Team of Chloe Kerschner, Nyomi Wittstruck, Mary Shirley, and Haddie Showen.
For the Boys Team, Tommy Huff took 1st Place at the Conference Meet and also took 6th Place at State. Second Team All-Conference for the girls team were Holly Goodwin in the High Jump and Triple Jump, and Sidney Hoffa in the Long Jump.
The boys had several athletes named to the 2nd Team All-Conference Team with Braedy Alberts in the Discus, 100M, and 200M Dash. The boys team also had a couple relay teams placing 2nd place. The 4X800 Relay Team of Keegan Hockerman, Hunter Peschel, Brayden Grupe, and Noah Anason along with the relay team of Jack Marotz, Hugo Johnson, Braedy Alberts, and Tommy Huff. Congratulations to all the track athletes.
