Local family loses bedroom to house fire

On Feb. 12, Wautoma Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a popping noise and smoke in a residence on Fairview Ct. Wild Rose Fire & Waushara EMS also responded for mutual aid. The fire departments were able to contain the fire to the master bedroom area. It appears the cause may have been an electrical issue. The family was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The bedroom was a complete loss along with the families clothing. The Wautoma Police Benevolent assisted the family with Wal-Mart gift cards to help with the purchase of new clothing and items.
