At 8 p.m. on June 18 a crash occurred on WIS 49 northbound at CTH I in Waushara County near Fremont.
After the Chevrolet Impala lost control while negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway, the vehicle then left the roadway and rolled over. The vehicle came to rest in the tree line.
Ronal Francisco, 39, Appleton, was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, Isaac Chagala, 25, Combined Locks, and passenger Jose Francisco Ramirez, 31, Appleton, were transferred to Theda Medical Center, Neenah, with non-life threatening injuries. The fourth occupant of the vehicle, Hermin Antonio Reyes, 32, was transported to Theda Medical Center with life threating injuries.
The State Patrol and Waushara County Sheriffs Office were assisted at scene by the following: Poy Sippi Fire Department, Bloomfield Fire Department, Gold Cross, Fremont / Wolf River Ambulance, Waushara County Ambulance, and Theda Star.
