Fun at the Leon Saxeville Library in Pine River

The “Love Your Library” reading challenge runs through Feb. 26, 2022 for children ages 5-15 yrs. The library is appreciating all of the dedicated patrons for continuing to support and visit the library. The library will show the love by having every child that checks out books, enter the drawing for prizes such as a telescope, robot or baking kit to name a few.  Stop in the library today to enter the prize drawing.

A special presentation is scheduled for Saturday Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. when Renown Author and Lecturer Chad Lewis will present his Program titled:  “Wisconsin Lumberjack Legends and Lore” for all ages.  From Paul Bunyan to the Hodag, this program is filled with all of the lumberjack traditions. superstitions, and legends.  Tall tales of mysterious creatures lurking in the woods, boasts of supernatural feats, and every yarn told in-between, this program celebrates lumberjack history. This is a free class and refreshments will be served.  The event is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin.  Please call to register by Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 920-987-5110.

On Saturday, Feb. 19, the library will offer the second Craft Saturday with Kathy Williams.  At 10 a.m. the kids can create a colorful birdfeeder and at 11 a.m. adults can come make a farmhouse wall-hanging, with gluing, embellishments and painting.  Craft classes are free to the public with advance registration by Thursday, Feb. 17. Preschool Story Hour also meets every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for stories, crafts and fun.  Bring your friends for a day of fun at the Leon Saxeville Library in Pine River.
