Riverview students finish One School, One Book with local service project

Subhead
For the past two months students and staff at Riverview Elementary have read stories from Debbi Michiko Florence’s “My Furry Foster Family” series. This past week, the students and staff were able to participate in amazing activities to wrap up their One School, One Book reading. The day began with an all-school “Read-in”. Every student and staff member read for 15 minutes to earn $200 that we then donated to the Waushara County Animal Shelter. The $200 was pledged by the Riverview PTO. Then the author, Florence spent the day sharing her love of writing and animals with students during her grade level presentations, and their additional activities. Finally, students worked hard on their Character Education Service Project. Each grade level made either tie blankets, cat toys, or dog treats to donate to the Waushara County Animal Shelter.
