Making bath bombs at WR Library

Subhead

On Friday, Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m., the Patterson Memorial Library is offering the first in a new series of programs called ‘Made with Love’.  “’Made with Love’ are programs that allow people to use their creative side to make things for themselves or for gifts, with no cost to them, but by using a lot of love and creativity,” promised Kent Barnard, Library Director, crowing: “Our first ‘Made with Love’ program will be bath bombs, one of our most popular programs,”

“Bath bombs are so expensive in the store, yet quite easily made with the right ingredients,” noted Barnard, continuing: “I think anyone five or older can make them – with a little help.”

Bath bombs are made from Epsom salts, citric acid, baking soda, coloring and essential oils.  The ingredients are mixed together, then the mixture is pressed into ball molds, compressed and after about one minute, and voila, they are finished. When dropped into a hot bath, the bath bombs fizz and release their calming or invigorating scent, while the Epsom salts soothe tired muscles.

“Attendees will be able to create several bath bombs and will take them home that night,” quipped Barnard, “the bath bombs will need a few days to dry out, so they hold together, but then they are good to use in the bath, or smaller bath bombs can be used for your feet.”

Create Bath Bombs for yourself or as a present (or both) on Friday, Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wild Rose Community Center, located at 500 Division St. in Wild Rose.  For more information, please call the library at 920-622-3835.
