Cindy Johnson, Hancock was recognized by Y106.5 radio station, Point Realty Group/Coldwell Banker and Imagine Home Lending of Wausau/Stevens Point as this month’s Home Grown Hero. Each month they honor one person as a Home Grown Hero.

The AMVETS Auxiliary Post 13, Redgranite, donated $180 worth of school supplies to the Back to School Bash committee, from #2 pencils to flash drives.

On July 20, the Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting during the grand opening of the new Ole and Lena’s Fuel Depot, 975 E. Main St, Wautoma. Cars were three and four deep to get gas during the grand opening.

Jason Scharping, general manager of Waushara Country Club was a “royal” official for a recent Ladies League Invitational.  The theme was Mad About Plaid as golf began in Scotland. Scharping announced the winners of the many events on the course for the day.

Hometown Bank Senior Vice Presidents Jody Jansen and Tony Smyrneos, presented an autographed Clay Matthews framed print to Wild Rose Booster Club President Steve Yeska and Wild Rose Athletic Director Jeff Murphy on July 21 for the 2016 Wildcat Booster Club Scramble.
