Tony Smyrneos, president of Farmers Exchange Bank, and Tim McFarlane, Hometown Bank President and CEO, recently met to celebrate the merger of the two banks on Feb. 22.

Farmers Exchange Bank customers will notice a change to the signs but not the faces of those who serve them when the merger with Hometown Bank is complete on Monday, Feb. 22.

On Jan. 30, twelve-year-old Collin Slife, Coloma, was recognized and awarded the 2015 INEX State of Wisconsin Bandit Bandolero Champion-ship at the year-end banquet held in the Speedway Club inside Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC.

Taking a turn on the exercise bikes during the community Fitness Flurry were Landon Johnson, 7, Redgranite, and Ethan Trinrud, 8, Wautoma. The Fitness Flurry was held at Wautoma High School on Feb. 6. 

Wautoma Riverview 4K students Zachaira Seawater, Leana Biesek, Gabby Giebel, and Carson Ridarelli hold up the artwork they recently created for the upcoming Wautoma 4K Art Show on March 8. The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Dairy Queen, Wautoma, and will be displayed thru March 10.

The Wild Rose girls’ basketball will host the 6th annual Purple Haze Game on Feb. 11 to raise awareness and help eliminate hunger in Central Wisconsin. The team is collecting non-expired, non-perishable food items during the game, with all the donations given to a local food pantry. The junior varsity game against Tigerton will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the varsity game.
