With knowledge of the impeding ice storm headed to Waushara County on Monday, Jan. 17, numerous businesses closed while many schools released their students by 1 p.m. 

Dean Tschurwald and Paul Deakin of Wautoma attended the Waushara County Tavern League Winter Ball held at the Oakwood Bar, Restaurant, Banquet Hall and Catering of Wild Rose on Jan. 15. 

With the results of December’s SkillsUSA District Skills competitions, one could say the Wautoma SkillsUSA Welding Club is on a winning streak. Adding up their victories from the recent competitions, students have now earned placings at every competition this school year. 

Seven Tri-County High School students were recently selected to participate in the annual Central Wisconsin Conference All-Star Clinic and Performance at Pacelli High School. The Honors Band will be conducted by Dr.

The Wautoma/Wild Rose Warriors (WA) traveled to Hillsboro on Jan. 14 to compete in a nine-team invitational at Hillsboro High School. 

The Warriors finished the day in second place with 165 points, as Pittsville (PV) outscored them with 209 points.

Wild Rose Middle School 6-8th grade students recently participated in the first round of the annual CESA 5-Scripps Spelling Bee. The first round narrowed the spellers from 30 students to 10.
