If your real estate tax bill qualifies, you are given the option of paying a first installment on or before Jan. 31 and the second installment or postponed installment being due on or before July 31.

Rural Mailboxes

One of the biggest challenges for farmers when moving equipment from field to field is negotiating around rural mailboxes. Most farm equipment today is considerably wider than the width of a car or truck and in normal travel the equipment will extend out over the edge of the roadway. This requires the farmer to move over into the middle of the roadway when going past mailboxes and places added risk of an accident every time a mailbox is encountered.

When harvesting baled hay, it’s not always easy to control weather related losses, but storage losses are controllable. After putting time, energy and expense into producing a high quality baled product, producers need to think about how poor storage affects the quality and value of that crop.

The Waushara County Register of Deeds office is responsible for examining, recording, indexing and maintaining all Land Records, Certified Survey Maps, Military Discharge Papers and Vital Records.  The Register of Deeds office also assists the county’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist/Tax Lister.

Dairy Prices Lower

Bob Cropp, professor emeritus with the Univer-sity of Wisconsin-Madison, backed off previous pro-jections of $20/cwt. Class III milk prices this summer. Projections for Class III milk are now projected to be near or above $19/cwt., August through October or November. Cropp predicts that milk prices should start to increase again in July and peak in October or November.
