The Waushara County Register of Deeds office is responsible for examining, recording, indexing and maintaining all Land Records, Certified Survey Maps, Military Discharge Papers and Vital Records.  The Register of Deeds office also assists the county’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist/Tax Lister.

Dairy Prices Lower

Bob Cropp, professor emeritus with the Univer-sity of Wisconsin-Madison, backed off previous pro-jections of $20/cwt. Class III milk prices this summer. Projections for Class III milk are now projected to be near or above $19/cwt., August through October or November. Cropp predicts that milk prices should start to increase again in July and peak in October or November.

Timing Alfalfa harvest is crucial for feed quality

Alfalfa harvest will be later this year. This years’ cool spring has delayed plant growth for our forage crops. On May 29, Hancock had accumulated 340 Base 50 heat units. This compares to the 30 year average of 486.
