ATV Injury and Death Prevention

An All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) can seem all fun and games until someone gets hurt or dies. ATV’s are motorized off road vehicles that can weigh over 600 pounds and go up to 50 miles per hour or more. ATVs are heavy, fast, and can cause injury or death.

Just this year alone, at least 12 people have died from ATV accidents in Wisconsin. This number does not include those who were injured.

Meetings on Implement of Husbandry (IOH) Law

Wisconsin Act 377 has modified the law governing Implements of Husbandry. Two area meetings, Aug. 22, Adams County, and Aug. 25, Green Lake County, have been scheduled to explain how these changes will affect area farmers, and local government officials.

Beautiful, hot deadly weather

It’s sunny, hot and humid. It’s almost August in Wautoma! With the beautiful weather come summertime hazards. It can get deadly when the temperature is 10 degrees or more above average. The average temperature in Wautoma is 81ºF with the highest temperature reaching 110ºF.

Farm Technology Days

The Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is the largest agricultural show in Wisconsin and one of the largest in the nation. The three-day outdoor event showcases the latest improvements in production agriculture, including many practical applications of recent research findings and technological developments. Each year, it is held in a different Wisconsin county - on a different host family farm.
