St. John's Lutheran to celebrate 150th Anniversary Sept. 14

St. John’s Lutheran Church, East Bloomfield, will celebrate 150 years of worship on Sunday, Sept. 14, with the theme, “Growing in Christ – I am the Vine, You are the Branches.”

The sesquicentennial cele-bration will begin during the first service at 10 a.m., with retired Pastor G. Schapekahm officiating. The Fox Valley Lutheran High School Choir will be singing during the morning service.

UW-Stevens Point phar-macy student Roxanne Jeske, Wild Rose, was named to the 2013-14 Spring Dean’s List for having a grade point average of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.

 
Wild Rose School Board approves 2014-15 salaries and contracts

Teacher salaries and contracts were approved for the 2014-15 school year when the Wild Rose School Board met Aug. 14 at Wild Rose High School.

Other salaries and contracts were approved in July, while the teachers waited until now. There will be an increase in base pay of 1.46 percent, plus step movement. The total increase in salaries is 2.88 percent, with the total package increase being .84 percent because of health insurance savings.
