The Wild Rose girls’ softball team traveled to Tri-County to play the Lady Penguins on May 2. The Ladycats walked away with the win, 10-6.

Lady Hornets lose doubleheader on the road

The Wautoma girls’ softball team played their second double-header in two days, on May 3 at St. Mary Central, Neenah. The Lady Hornets would lose both games 8-3 and 9-5.

Wildcats win first place at T-C track invitational

Tri-County High School held the boys’ track invitational on May 1. The Wild Rose Wildcats took first with 102 points after 18 events.

Team rankings were: Wild Rose, 102; Princeton/Green Lake, 96; Iola-Scandinavia, 76; Wittenberg-Birnamwood, 73; Weyauwega-Fremont, 72; Tri-County, 64.50; Pittsville, 47; Amherst, 45; Almond-Bancroft, 39; Shiocton, 29.50; Necedah, 29; and Pacelli, 25.
