The Wautoma youth summer baseball-softball program registration will be held March 6 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. and March 8 from 9 a.m. to Noon at Wautoma City Hall.

 
TC middle school boys take third at Marion tournament

The combined basketball team of Tri-County 7th and 8th grade boys traveled to Marion on Feb. 2 for a tournament sponsored by the Marion Booster Club.

 
Ladycats come up short at home against Marion, 25-27

The Wild Rose Ladycats had an unusual night of missed shots causing problems against the Marion Lady Mustangs in Feb. 4 girls’ basketball action. They did mange to get out of trouble later on and nearly came out on top, but suffered a tough 25-27 loss.

 
Wildcats lose to Port Edwards in overtime

After returning from a 12-point deficit in the third quarter to take a brief lead late in the fourth quarter, the Wild Rose Wildcats entered an overtime period against the Port Edwards Blackhawks in Feb. 3 boys’ basketball action, only to lose the CWC-10 game, 43-50.

 
Wautoma struggles against Lady Papermakers at home

The Lady Hornets came out looking to improve their South Central Conference record on Feb. 7 against Nekoosa. From the moment the game started, the Lady Papermakers had other plans for Wautoma shutting them down on the hardwood, 35-57.

 
Tri-County Boys Basketball gets stung at Rosholt

On Feb. 6, the Tri-County Boys Basketball Team traveled to Rosholt for a make up game, and it has been hectic over the past two weeks, trying to get all the games in due to cancellations because of snow and cold weather. Tri-County was unable to handle Rosholt and lost 61 to 46.

 
Tri-County Girls make a comeback to beat Gresham

The Lady Penguins traveled to Gresham on Feb. 7 and found themselves in a hole 12 to 0 by end of first quarter. Tri-County showed lots of poise and never gave up. They fought back and got back into the game.

 
Pioneers struggle against Nekoosa on the road

Westfield traveled to Nekoosa for a South Central Conference matchup on Feb. 4. After careless mistakes and hesitant plays, the Papermakers won the game 58-48.
