Tuesday, March 18, 2014 5:50 AM

To the Editor,

After I read about the county board asking for bids for the ‘kitchen addition,’ I was compelled to write. To the Editor:

The week of Feb. 9 -15 is Children of Alcoholics Week. The National Association of Children of Alcoholics sponsors this recognition event.  My mother’s alcoholism greatly affected me. I read many books about addiction and affected families. I later attended a support group with other adult children. I went to seminars and learned how to cope with the aftermath of this sneaky disease, which impacts the whole family.
