Habitat tree raffle tickets available at businesses

Tickets for the 11th Annual Habitat for Humanity Christmas Tree Raffle are now available at the WWII Memorial Building Chamber of Commerce office, and at the following businesses:  1st Merit Bank, Dairy Queen, First Weber Realtors, Wausau Homes Design Center, Floral Expressions by Renee, StoneRidge Piggly Wiggly & Meats, Pioneer Floral, the Waushara Argus, Thrivent Financial, Simply Elegant, and Kelley Sand & Gravel.  In addition, the State Farm Insurance Company has also volunteered to sell tickets to the public.

 
Area youth enters Stockshow Confidential Heifer contest

Logan Wagner, 11, Pine River, entered Stockshow Confidential’s “Put me in the winner’s circle” contest. The prize is a Heifer from Sullivan Ranch in Texas, www.sullivanranch.net. In order to enter the contest, you have to be a member of a 4-H club or FFA. Logan is a member of the Cedar Valley 4-H Club.

The Family Birth Center at Berlin Memorial Hospital will be holding a one-day express childbirth class on Saturday Dec. 7 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Lower Level Meeting Room of the hospital, located at 225 Memorial Drive in Berlin.

Thrivent Financial volunteers ringing for charity Dec. 6 and 7

Members of the Waushara County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will be ringing bells for The Salvation Army on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7 at three different locations. The chapter will supplement funds donated at all county sites.
