This has been quite an exciting week for Susan DeLain of Neshkoro. She has just won the Grand Champion award in the Cultural Arts category at the Waushara County Fair for her piece titled, “Does Size Matter?”

The large acrylic on hardboard painting shows off a number of different sized carrots in dramatic relief on a black background. The bunch a neighbor had given her from his garden inspired her.

Community Strength Training Program offered for women

Community Health Net-work will be offering the Strong Women, Strong Bones Program in Green Lake County.

Strong Bones is a nationally recognized program that promotes weight lifting as a way to maintain bone density. This eight-week strength training exercise program for middle-aged and older women will be offered in September and October.
