Salvation Army looks ahead to 2014 Red Kettle Campaign

Heading into his third year as the Red Kettle Campaign bell ringing coordinator and 30th year volunteering as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, Roger Charette is looking forward to the 2014 season.

“We are looking at some ways to expand the opportunities for donations this year,” said Charette. “There are approximately 20 counter kettles placed throughout the county to collect funds and we are looking into the possibility of having paper kettle donations available at the check outs of some area businesses.”

 
Plainfield Spree to be held Sept. 13

The annual Waushara County Relay for Life Survivor's Walk was held after the opening ceremony for the annual event at Wautoma High School. The Relay took place on Aug. 1.

 
Waushara County Crimestoppers report burglary in Town of Marion

On July 29, the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a burglary in the Southern part of the Town of Marion. Several items were taken from the home including fishing equipment, a large flat screen TV, and a tool box with assorted tools inside. The burglary happened sometime during the previous ten days.
