Wild Rose Lions install new officers, name new directors

At the conclusion of the Wild Rose Lions Club monthly meeting on July 7, members installed new officers. Ken Brzezinski assumed the role of president for the 2014-15 year, with Tom Spanbauer as first vice president, Harold Hobbs as second vice president, and Paul Fisher as third vice president.

George Edgren IV, who lives on Archer Lane, just past Evergreen Campgrounds and Resort, southeast of Wild Rose, recently made national news after creating an “iron giant” in his driveway. Edgren, who works as a water jetter metal fabricator in Little Chute, creates and sells metal yard art as a hobby. “I love coming home and creating things,” said Edgren.

 
Golden Needle Quilt Show to be held July 26

The Golden Needle Quilt Gathering quilt show will be held on July 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the west gym of the Almond-Bancroft School. The quilt show is free and open to the public.
