Back in the quarry days William Bannerman was the leading figure in the Granite Industry for three decades. The Redgranite Herald called him the “Father of Redgranite” prompting Redgranite to name their mainstreet Bannerman Avenue.

Annual "Day at the Dells" held Aug. 22

The annual “Day at the Dells” will be held on Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. for aged or handicapped individuals as well as their caregivers and family members. The day is sponsored by the Apostolate to the Handicapped, Tommy Bartlett, Inc., and Wisconsin TV-3 Madison.

140th Waushara County Fair to open Aug. 14 in Wautoma

Families throughout the area will have the opportunity to spend four days of fun at the Waushara County Fair from Aug. 14-17.

The 2014 Fair begins on Thursday, Aug. 14 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 17, with a variety of activities to entertain children of all ages, including: rides, games, food, and live entertainment.
