Evelyn Cluey Harrison, Redgranite High School Class of 1931, was so very happy to celebrate her 101st birthday on Sept. 1 participating in the Redgranite Labor Day Parade.

Beginning on Sept. 12 the Waushara Argus will be providing a weekly Friday afternoon email blast to help update local subscribers and residents on late-breaking news, weekend events, the weekend weather forecast, and any happenings in and around Waushara County.

 
Three county structures to be replaced this month

The Waushara County Highway Department has three structures contracted out for replacement. All three structures will be removed and replaced with culvert pipes of equal size by Kopplin and Kinas of Berlin.

 
Burlington High School stadium named after Don Dalton

During Burlington High School’s first football game of the season on Aug. 22, former BHS educator, coach, and athletic director Don Dalton, retired and now living in rural Wautoma, was honored with a plaque during a dedication ceremony at half time. The stadium, which Don helped plan during his last year of coaching, was dedicated in his honor and named the “Don Dalton Stadium.”
